Graphic Design position

I'm looking for my first employee! Things are getting busier and
busier with putting together each issue of Adore, along with all of
the extra projects I'm juggling so it's time for me to hire a graphic
designer to help out. This is a CASUAL position, and hours can
range from 4-8 hours per week (depending on number of tasks
assigned to you each week). Because I run Adore from home,
you would not be required to work alongside me, instead you will
work from your own home (must be based in Australia). This
is an ideal job for someone who wants to get back into the work
force after maternity leave but doesn't want too many hours and
would like to work from home with flexiblity in days and times
worked. It could also be ideal for a graphic design student who
can't take on too many hours or a recent graduate wanting some
experience in the graphic design/publishing world. This is a paid
position
and pay will be dependent on successful applicant's skill
levels and qualifications. Whilst the primary role will be graphic
design, I do require the designer to be able to help with product
sourcing for both the magazine and blog. A strong interest in
interiors and magazines is obviously needed. You will also need
to have a good knowledge of trends in interior design and be
able to help compile product pages.

So the skills I'm looking for include:

• You can use Adobe InDesign and Photoshop like a pro (and
also have this software installed on your computer at home)
We work in Adobe CS5.5 so ideally you would also use this
• Passionate about producing beautiful magazine layouts
• Can complete tasks quickly and with accuracy
• Ability to source products for product trend pages/posts
• Must demonstrate the ability to work from home without
supervision (a highly motivated person) and be a go-getter
multi-tasker. If you get distracted easily and can't complete
briefs on time this isn't the job for you.

So if you're nodding along to everything above, and believe this
is the positon for you, please email a cover letter, your resume
and portfolio, and example/s of product pages you have put
together to [email protected] with DESIGN JOB
in the subject line. If you're shortlisted for the position you will
receive a reply, unfortunately we can't reply to every applicant.
Please keep your emails under 5MB. If your portfolio is too large
to email please send via wetransfer or hightail. Please keep file
sizes under 30MB if you decide on using this method.

Applications must be received by 20 February, 2015.
