Black Friday Haul: Urban Outfitters
After cleaning my first plate, and devouring my second; my Thanksgiving day officially ended at 10:30 PM when I hopped in the car and headed to Montclair, NJ. I joined my friends in line at 11 PM for our third annual Black Friday midnight shopping spree at Urban Outfitters. Dressed in stretchy warm clothing, we waited at the front of the line in 30 degree weather, watching the line of people slowly wrap around the corner. At midnight the doors opened and the Hunger Games began. I used my usual strategy of grabbing every printed, well cut, nicely textured and colorful garment on the racks in two sizes (small and extra small). I searched the floor and the dressing room while the other 100 shoppers pushed and shoved for the same blouse. My arms were overwhelmed with clothing to the point where me and my friends took over a display bed in the store to throw all of our options on. With over 35 items to try on, by 3 AM I was leaving the store with over $200 worth of merchandise. I came into this trip with an idea of what I'd like to buy, and I must say I accomplished my goal.
