holiday cards + minted.

Last Sunday we had our first ever family-of-five photos taken by the lovely Linnea Paulina and, to my joyous surprise, everyone smiled like a champ, including the baby! The magic formula? The mini session. 20-30 minutes tops, and then a donut treat afterwards. I can't wait to see our pictures!

So, postal rates continue to increase but even so, sending out and receiving holiday cards is one of my favorite parts of the season. I try to hand-deliver most of them and save the stamps for out of state family.

With that in mind, I've been hearing about the company Minted all around the web, and as I'd like to depart from our traditional Costco photo cards (no dig, Costco, you know I love you), I finally got a chance to sit down and explore their site. What I didn't know was that Minted holds design competitions and the designs with the most votes get put up in the shop! It's a fun way to discover new trends and designers, and I like that anyone, not just professionals, can submit their work.

Checking out Minted was a fun hour-long detour of my night, and these are my current five favorites:
