Lunch at The Charcoal Grill Restaurant

yesterday (can you believe it!? I'm literally blogging about yesterday, not 2 months ago, or last year, see.. I'm improving.. *high five*) was a crazy fun packed day those on snapchat saw it all (you can add me/ same instagram/twitter screen name/ "lovebombchell"

Part of my day included pigging out at The Charcoal Grill with a few friends from waaaaay back in the South (USA) though we're all from the East (cuz we're igbo, get it... ok my jokes suck today).

Got dressed! skipped the red lips for something neutral. I was feeling like a hippie flower child ( I think I want braids & a henna sleeve... not sure how that will fly with a corporate gig).

best part of my outfit?? it was insanely cheap. over the summer in Atl was passing Wet Seal in the mall I thought how it's sad non of their stuff fit me anymore, I went in, found the flower hairband for about $10 and my kimono/jacket for under $20-25! also found 2 shirts that fit. In London i was desperate for tights & my cousin helped me get there from Primark for bout 2-5 pounds!

sorry I dont remember where i got my HOPE cut out shirt. got it years ago

Shoes : American Rag Cie - got em from Macy's

I haven't brought most of my stuff so i carry this bag 50% of the time... not really by choice lol Everywhere

The Charcoal Grill Restaurant & Coffee Lounge
This place is so spacious & beautiful! different corners. At least 3 different section. Some bakery inner section. some middle section... and yes big screen tv if you don't want to miss whatever game is on... and the balcony (OMG it was hot out there!!! great for pictures, but even if you pay me i won't sit out there in March, it was hot enough this November)... AC's perfectly fine inside though.

The Menu is quite extensive!! we couldn't decide waffles? rice? suya? poor waitress we kept asking her to ask the other person. She was a good sport.

for an idea of the Menu & Price

lol love how they packaged Bole & Fish

Our food took a while to get there, so snacked a lot

LISTEN CAREFULLY! well... READ CAREFULLY
if you're ever in Nigeria, or in a Nigerian restaurant you have to order Chapman!!! it's a non-alcoholic cocktail. It's everywhere like finding sprite, coke, or fruit punch... until you leave Nigeria then you can't find it.

Tip: if you're in some club with crap drink options, just order a chapman & spike it with a shot of vodka. Voila

picture on the right was calamari..... (hmmm....... looked different from what i expected)

The food was really good though. I ahve to give it to the Chef, only one was on duty & he came through!!! LOVED it.

English Breakfast

My food. I think i chose the best! it was amazing -- the sauce was great - jamaican jerk chicken with spicy rice

Also ate out of her's ... and we later asked for much more whipped cream

Our AWESOME chef!!! ( I believe his name's Chef John.. pls correct me if i'm sleepy & wrong)

We had such a blast, the staff was really friendly, the food was great, and the place was pretty (apart from the little time hiccup it was perfect).

Time to head home
