Long Layers

All of the layers, you guys. ALL OF THEM.

While my trip to California wasn’t as warm as expected (more on that here!), coming back to these twenty-degree-temps in New York has been bru-tal. A full (and very busy!) week of work, plus a cold commute. Oy! Throw us a bone, Mother Nature.

I eased back into my workweek wardrobe yesterday. You really can’t go wrong with dark jeans and a pair of booties! I paired a pinkish sweatshirt with a longer-than-life crisp white shirt to balance out the basic-ness. I’m lucky that my office dress code is pretty casual, but I’m striving to take it up a notch from my usual sweater denim combo that I’ve been sporting all fall. When you’re in need of a little extra pizazz, you can always top off your look with a leopard-like scarf!
