SHADES OF GRAY

Seeing things in grayscale somehow leaves a sophisticated and vintage feel in mind. While I'm in love with adding color to my wardrobe, a muted outfit can stand gracefully on its own. Perhaps it's because it reminds me of old, black and white films from the earlier half of the 1900's. I don't know much about them, nor have I seen a handful of those movies, but they do give an impression that men and women back then dressed to a more elegant and classic style. If that standard remained to be true today, it would be perfect!
Wanting to keep things vintage chic, I followed a conservative and classic silhouette, wearing a full pleated skirt, and a crew neck sweater. This MR. GUGU & MISS GO pug pulloever adds a quirky touch to contrast these serious hues.
...And finally, my shoes. No, I don't have a new pair. Yes, these are my trusty black pumps. But if you noticed that huge bow around my ankles, that's all because of this little store called HEEL UP. Based in the Neatherlands, they conjured up the idea of giving your favorite shoes accessories of their own. Whoever thought of this is pure genius! It's like you have a new shoe everytime, and it's easy as pie to use! This pair is called CHIQUE DU FREAQUE. I think it went perfectly well to match the theme of my look! Wouldn't you agree? There are more designs, catering to different styles! Believe me when I say that you should check 'em out!
