5 Ways to Wear Pastel Pink Accessories.

TED BAKER BAG AND FRENCH CONNECTION HEELS C/O MCARTHUR GLEN
A couple of weeks ago McArthur Glen sent me to their designer outlet village in Swindon, and challenged me to pick up two spring accessories to style in five different ways. It had been close to a decade since I'd last visited the outlet village, so it was quite a nostalgic experience! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it, and had a great afternoon shopping with Grant, rounding off our trip with lunch at Ed's Easy Diner.
My accessories of choice were both in my favourite spring shade - pastel pink! I found the shoes first in French Connection, reduced to £50. As a rule I usually don't like exposed toes, however these are something special! Not only are they the perfect sugary shade, but the scallop detailing is both pretty and flattering. To match I found this pink leather Ted Baker bag reduced to £150. Sometimes I worry pink accessories can look a little cheap and childish, but both of these pieces are such lovely quality and look beautiful as a pair.
JUMPER FROM TOPSHOP | SKIRT FROM CHICWISH
Rich texture -
Cropped jumpers with full midi skirts were my go-to look of 2014, and it's still a combination I love! My staple fluffy jumper matched the colour of shoes and bag perfectly, creating a lovely coordinated base for the outfit. To break up all of the pink I wore this decadent embroidered skirt I treated myself to last December to wear on Christmas Day. Thanks to the pretty pastel colours I'll be able to get away with wearing it throughout spring despite the heavier fabric!

DRESS C/O ARK | HAIR CLIPS C/O CROWN AND GLORY
Romantic lace - When it comes to styling pastel accessories, you can't go wrong with a white base! This lace dress is a steal from Ark, and thanks to the delicate raw edging that follows the natural pattern of the lace it looks more expensive than it is. I dotted it with some new daisy clips from Crown and Glory, and donned my new pink accessories. The subtle pink, white and gold palette is one of my favourites.
TOP C/O ARK | SKIRT FROM H&M
Stripes on top - Another great way to style pastel accessories is using them to accent a monochrome ensemble. Typically black isn't a starring colour in my wardrobe, however I've recently had to pick up a few pieces for my work uniform. Not to mention, I'll happily make exceptions where stripes are involved; They always look so effortlessly stylish. I've been loving Bardot and off the shoulder necklines for a while now, so this striped top is a great staple for pairing with skater and midi skirts.
TOP AND SKIRT C/O MISS PATINA | COAT FROM TOPSHOP
Matchy matchy -
This look is all about matching sets! The coord from Miss Patina is one of my favourite new outfits for spring, and looks so delicate and pretty with my trusty pink coat new matching accessories. Wouldn't Dolores Umbridge be proud? Thankfully the varying textures in the pink stop the combination looking too uniform. I'm a sucker for any all-pastel outfit, and I'd happily wear this one everywhere!
BLOUSE C/O LA REDOUTE | SKIRT FROM NEW LOOK
Stripes on bottom - Another effortless striped look, except this time the stripes are on the bottom! I love the silhouette created by the midi skirt/heels combo; it always feels so elegant and feminine. This skirt is a new buy for my work uniform, but I love it so much that I'll be wearing it outside of work too! I love how it looks here with a classic blouse and the lovely pink accessories.
