MAC Cinderella: Royal Ball & Mystery Princess.

Are you bored of Cinderella yet, because I'm certainly not! Whilst past MAC releases have piqued my interest slightly, I've never felt invested enough to partake in the madness when they finally go on sale. That was, until the Cinderella collection came along. I loved everything about it, from the shimmering natural tones to the iridescent lavender blue packaging (some people seem to be of the opinion that it looks tacky - if this is what tacky looks like then count me in!). As you've probably noticed, beauty blogging isn't something I do often, so a product has to be quite exceptional for me to dedicate a post to it. When I first bought these products I was undecided on whether I'd blog about them, however having used them over the past week I finally decided I had to share them!
Royal Ball Lipstick - I'd been looking at investing in a nice nude lipstick for a while, so when I first saw photos of the Cinderella lipsticks I knew it was fate! I opted for the pinkier of the two, 'Royal Ball'. It's described as a shimmering 'fleshy pink' with a Lustre finish. It goes on fairly sheer, however it feels incredibly moisturising and comfortable on the lips. I like to think of it as being fairly close to my natural lip colour, but a more polished, perfected version. I've been pairing it with flushed cheeks and lightly defined eyes and brows.
Mystery Princess Beauty Powder - The 'Mystery Princess' powder is described as a 'pinky beige with silver shimmer', and is a really lovely, delicate product. One of my favourite beauty quotes is from Dita Von Teese, 'Powder your nose - that greasy supermodel look is not what classic glamour is all about!', hence what I really like about this product is that I can get a slight dewy glow in powder form. I don't shy away from a bit of sparkle day-to-day, so this product didn't seem overly shimmery to me. I've heard of some people using it as a highlighter, but personally I've just been dusting a little all over my face for a subtle, healthy glow.
Did you manage to get your paws on anything from this collection? If so, what did you think?
