And we are out!

It has taken me forever to prepare this post because it is so long and well, it would mean I am actually "out". But I am buckling down and I will get this post on its way. I began packing up our house before it was even listed (my way of de-cluttering to help it show better), its a good thing I did because it was within contract 5 days after we listed it for sale by owner and was sold within 30 days of that. Needless to say it was a rush to pack up a house and prepare for a big move with 2 little helpers. But we made it happen...it was a mess, but we got it all cleaned and put away.
Final stages of packing
After loading in the snow and packing the truck full we were finally finished, with a more than a week before we flew out.
We spent that time waiting at my parents house. I am so happy and grateful we had that time to spend with them, even if it was a few minutes here or there. The kids loved playing/destroying "mamas" house, it was like running a marathon chasing them making sure they didnt brake anything.

I also was fortunate enough to have the best friends in the world say goodbye to me. We had our final "Girls TV Night" party, and a few days after that they all threw me a surprise goodbye party with my book club. I can't remember the last time I felt so loved. I really was so blessed to have such an amazing group of women as friends. Just thinking about them now brings tears to my eyes. These women have been such a huge support system to be these last 3 years. I don't know how I will get through without them. Whether it has been to borrow an egg, or a shoulder to cry on they were always there for me. I will miss them all beyond words, they all rest in a part of my heart and I will carry their kindness everywhere I go. Im just grateful they touched my life and I know I am a better person for knowing them.
After saying goodbye to friend and family (I don't know what I was thinking, we had 2 huge family dinners to say goodbye and I didn't even take one picture!) that night came that we had to leave. I gathered all our stuff and sat in awe, how were 2 adults with 2 toddlers suppose to get all of this across the country?!
We made it happen and with little blood and lots of sweat and tears we made it through the airport and onto that 12am flight!
I had Liam's oxygen machine in between my legs and their seats on either side...it made for a very long night!
The kids did so well, (regardless of her scowl she did fabulous!) other than the 20 minutes Abigail screamed while we waited at the gate with no air in a hot plane, the flight went seamlessly. Once we took off the kids were out, and they didnt wake up until everyone was off the plane and we had to wake them up.
They really were so good, at least after we took off!
We made it through baggage claim and had to take a car to our apartment because our cars still hadn't arrived.
The kids were so tired, from being so completely thrown off their schedule, they slept through the traffic leaden 2 hour drive.
But we finally made it! And all in one piece. It was a crazy trip, not one I will want to repeat anytime soon, but good all the same. We can't wait to see what we will have in store here, or what the next chapter in life will bring but until then I just want to unpack and get settled.
