This “outfit of the day” is about trying new things. I’ve never been much of a hat person – that is to say, I’ve never thought that I looked good in hats – but recently I’ve been loving the look of floppy, wide-brim hats. I’d been thinking a lot about it, and tried on a few, then I saw this one on sale and jumped on it! Aside from beanies, I think this is the first hat I’ve owned as an adult, and I’m pretty pleased with it! The only drawback is that it catches the wind and I’m afraid that one day it’s just going to fly away and never return.

I think one of the things I’m enjoying most about Le Tote is that it encourages me to try out items that I might not have otherwise. It’s fun to step out of my comfort zone a little bit and try new things and come up with new outfit ideas. For example, I probably never would have tried this top, because it has a loose “shift” shape that I normally shy away from, but I actually really liked the way that it layed, and the length was perfect.

I also dig the color of these jeggings (Marsala! The “color of the year”, which I wrote about here) though I don’t wear them very often.
