The Crazy Naked Lady In The Locker Room

Today I am linking up with Brittany from My Own Balance and doing a Throwback Thursday post! This post is from 2012 and is one of my favorite posts of all time. Every single part is so true and so raw! It was so much fun reading the comments and seeing who has been rocking with you from the beginning (shout out to Terri! I see you girl!). For those who haven’t read it before–enjoy–for those who are reading it again, it’s totally worth it for the laugh.

I remember when I first started going to the gym eeeeeons ago in college, I was a little afraid of the locker room.
I mean, women parts everywhere.
I have since gotten used to it (thank goodness)!
I have even perfected ways to keep body parts covered at all times—included but not limited to:
- The booby trick: When changing from your regular bra to the sports bra just drop the two straps. Then proceed to put said sports bra on OVER the regular bra. Once complete, remove regular bra. See? No boobies shown.
- Lower area trick: Cover all areas with towel once you leave shower. Slip on underwear under towel. NO reason to take towel off! See? No women parts revealed.
Which brings me to today’s crazy experience:
After spin class and weights I was feeling So. Great.
Took my shower and while I was getting dressed I was casually eavesdropping on a trio of girls as they gossiped about their co-workers. (Apparently Ava is pregnant, and they ALL saw it coming)
One of them made a beeline for the exit and I thought that was kind of odd until she stood by the entrance.
The other did the same, the third girl was bent and looking for something in her gym bag.
I curiously looked at both of them and wondered what on earth could make them bolt to the other side of the locker room leaving their friend in the wind.
Then I saw it.
There was a BARE NAKED LADY LYING ON THE LOCKER ROOM BENCH.
Me, of course not exactly the queen of discreet, sharply inhaled.
I was stunned!
This lady was LAID OUT. NAKED. EVERYTHING. BARE.
AND HAD THE NERVE TO PROP ONE LEG UP.
Are you kidding me?
I honestly couldn’t believe it, and unlike a normal person who would hightail it out of there I kept getting ready refusing to let this lady bother me.
I stared at her, not at her unappealing body parts, but at her face so if I see her coming again I would know exactly who she was.
Weird part was…she was staring at me back!! As if she DARED me to say anything to her.
She was already losing in life with that display (in every sense of the word) so I let her be.
The trio of girls and I giggled all the way out the door. We were genuinely tickled by the crazy naked lady in the locker room.
