If there’s one piece of advice that bears repeating over and over again, it’s to do your research. If you don’t take the time to compare all the options, how will you know if you’re actually getting a good deal or not? A budget savvy bride puts in the time to price compare, shop around and gather quotes to get the best estimate of her overall costs before booking any vendor. Whether it’s your venue, catering, photography, or flowers — be sure to gather info from your top candidates and compare and contrast the quality of work against the cost, and consider if your personalities are a good fit to work together as well.
Sure, it’ll take you a bit of extra time, but the money you’ll save in the long run will make it worth it. If you choose to work with a planner, they will often have this kind of legwork done for you ahead of time, but if you’re going the DIY planning route then this advice is imperative.
When it comes to purchasing items for your big day – be it decor items or bridesmaids dresses – be sure to shop around. Always look for coupons, discounts, sales, etc. Find something you like in-store? Check online to see if you can find a cheaper price on it. (Amazon is a place I pretty much always check– I’ll even price check on my iPhone right there in-store!)
how do you shop savvy when it comes to your wedding?
