Flappy Bird Removed From App Store

We warned you. Game creator Dong Nguyen removed Flappy Bird from the app store today.

Nguyen announced on Twitter yesterday that he couldn’t handle the pressure of being the number one mobile game. The Flappy Bird creator gave his fans a 22 hour warning before deleting the game.

I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore.

And Nguyen wasn’t bluffing. If you go to iTunes or the Google PlayStore now, you won’t find Flappy Bird among the ranks of today’s hottest games.

People who already downloaded the game will still be able to play Flappy Bird. Now that the game has been deleted, however, there will be no updates and no new users. According to USA Today, Nguyen was making about $50,000 a day from in-game ads. That apparently wasn’t enough money to put up with the headaches of viral fame.

I can call 'Flappy Bird' is a success of mine. But it also ruins my simple life. So now I hate it.
