Favorite Finds – March Edition

Favorite Finds – March Edition | A few more of my favorite things!

Mother’s Day is coming soon! Maybe you’ll want to add one (or more) of this month’s fave finds to your wish list!

When it comes to lettering, my newest love is brush lettering. I’ve been using these Pentel Water Brushes. You can use them with just water in them and paint with watercolors as normal (super handy for the kiddos) but I mix in Sumi Ink to letter as shown below or even use my Koi Watercolor tubes. It’s so fun. Just write a phrase in pencil and then trace over it with the water brushes!

Because I’m taking pics so often, I wanted a comfy camera strap. I didn’t feel like making one and didn’t want to pay a ton. Enter Etsy shop Two Little Lollipops. All her adorable padded strap covers are about $13.

Next, up my beloved cuff bracelets! These are handmade by my friend Brette of Etsy shop Kut Kloth Boutique. She makes the cutest leather bow bracelets (which I have in brown, black and gold), name bracelets (I have all my kids name’s on mine), scarves, purses and more at super reasonable price! Aren’t they fun?!

By the time you’re reading this post, I’ll be on vacation in Destin Beach, Florida (our first vacation in about 7 years). Vacation time, awesome! Swimsuit shopping after 3 kids, not so much.

I think I tried on 20 swimsuits at the mall to no avail. I wanted something cute but in a classy one piece that covers all the right places. I ended up finding this Ralph Lauren One on Zappos. I ordered my usual size plus the size up since swimwear tends to run small. They offer free shipping both ways, so I planned to just return the one that didn’t fit as well. My normal size ended up fitting perfectly.

I have’t felt this good in a swimsuit since college (which makes the $114 price tag easier to take). Feeling good in your swimsuit after kids is PRICELESS I tell you.

(P.S. This is not me in the picture. I ordered black and I’m not nearly as small as the model! I’m 5’9″ and normally wore a size 10 when I ordered this a few months ago. I’m now in a 8. I ordered the 10 and 12. The size 10 fit me perfectly then and still works now.)

Finally, I’m all about spending money with shops that give back. My friend Amber runs a nonprofit and shop called Beautiful & Beloved where all the goods are made by survivors of modern day slavery. Their mission statement: Beautiful & Beloved passionately endeavors to drive global job creation in the fair trade industry through the sale of items created by newly empowered survivors of slavery and peoples previously marginalized.

I have several tee’s and necklaces, including the two shown below and love them!

Happy shopping!
