How-To Turn Frames into Organizers. A little paint, pegboard, and chicken wire is all it takes to transform frames into wall storage. Disclosure: This post is not sponsored but I do want to give a big thank you to Cut it Out for the free frames to work with!
My craft room office space is my happy place. It features a Jumbo Pegboard Wall and a Vintage Frame Gallery Wall. I love both walls, but I still needed a bit more storage (crazy, but true!) so I did a little re-vamp of the gallery wall.
It only took a day, thanks to simply transforming some frames with paint, pegboard, and chicken wire.

Here are the things I used to make the two frame organizers:
- 16×20 Chandler Frame
- Pegboard Sheet (from Home Depot)
- Oval 8×10 Frame
- Chicken Wire (outdoor fencing section at Lowe’s)
- Spray Paint
- Staple Gun
- Wire Cutters
- Pegboard Organizers (I grabbed a set of various ones from Home Depot)
I started by spray painting all the frames and pegboard while my husband cut the pegboard and chicken wire to size. I did two coats of paint on each with about 30 minutes dry time between the two coats.
I let them dry overnight and then simply placed the pegboard in the big frame (it has built in prongs to hold the pegboard). For the chicken wire frame, we attached it to the back of the oval frame with a staple gun.
I still just love the Pink Tool Set I got last year for Mother’s Day! The little buckets full of Sharpie’s are from the from the Target Dollar Bins.
