Soda-Free Pink Party Punch

Soda-Free Pink Party Punch. You’ll never miss the soda in this fabulous Strawberry-Lemonade Punch with Gelato. It’s SO good and pretty too!

When I was planning my girls’ birthday party, I searched for a pink party punch to serve that was soda-free to no avail, so I decided to just make something up and cross my fingers. Not only did it come out so pretty, it was awesomely delicious too. So it’s ending up on the blog, of course!

We don’t go all out for birthday parties. In fact, we’ve only ever done small family ones for all three of our kids…but I still love to decorate. I think it’s 100% possible to throw a lovely little party on a budget. I think I spent around $100 total for all the party décor and food!

While wondering Target a week before the party, I came across the black and white striped and floral party goodies. The little paper lanterns, the pink and gold tissue paper garland, a a few bucks of balloons were all a few bucks each.

I set up a nacho bar with chips, pulled BBQ chicken, taco meat, japaleños, salsa, cheese, green onions, and ranch. Easy, inexpensive, and everyone devoured it!

All the napkins, paper plates, straws, and tablecloths were from the same Target collection. Isn’t it pretty?!

I opted to keep it simple with 2 dozen cupcakes from the local grocery (which rang in at about $15).

The cupcake stand they are on is one I actually DIY’d to use as my jewelry holder.

At the last minute, I went and bought the hydrangeas to complete the table (and I left them as a gift for my mom for letting us turn her home into party central). Most of my family lives about an hour away from us (but near her) so it’s easiest on my grandma and other relatives if we do it out their way.

We were SO lucky to have such a gorgeous day in early February! This is my middle kiddo and oldest daughter. She was so excited to turn 5 (and drink her Pink Party Punch)!

This is my youngest. She turns 3 in March but planning one party just made sense (for our budget and my sanity). She refused to pose for pictures but she loved presents of course!

And now (finally!) the punch recipe!

This is best made at the last-minute before the party starts.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans frozen pink lemonade concentrate
  • 3 liters sparkling water or club soda*
  • 1 container lemon gelato
  • 1 container strawberry gelato
  • lemon slices

Spoon frozen pink lemonade concentrate into a large punch bowl. Slowly add sparkling water or club soda and stir to combine. Adds scoops of gelato. I used the entire containers shown below. It creates the lovely “cloud” on top of the punch. Gently place lemon slices on top and add more on the edge of the bowl. Serve promptly.

*Soda-free denotes the usual sugary sodas, Club “soda” is really just fizzy water.

This is the Gelato I used and it was insanely good.
