Let’s start with me saying: boys, this is strictly a woman talk here, unless you sympathize with this than you are welcomed to stay :) Secondly: I’ve always been very reluctant about epilators… Always saw these beautiful women in campaigns doing the all smile thing while epilating and thought: what a load of rubbish! How would someone enjoy this process? Well… until I’ve tried the Braun Silk-Epil 9 Epilator. No, I am not kidding! Like serious… This has really revolutionised my way of thinking! I was contacted for this Braun campaign and I accepted the challenge, I really wanted to try this!

Not only, I’m also a fan of Braun’s #BreakFree campaign which features Jessica Alba as beauty ambassador. Have you watched it? It’s all about us women complimenting one another and letting each other know what is it that we admire in them. Seriously a beautiful chain of love shared across the internet and it is very liberating! It’s letting go of our insecurities and breaking free!

I think this whole process makes part of our everyday life! It is a natural thing! But we do not need to feel insecure to talk about it, neither make it a dull time! Instead, it can be a very nice moment of ours… What I’ve done is to start with by making a natural exfoliation for my skin using organic honey, organic brown sugar and lemon and spreading it on my body in the shower. Then, I used the exfoliation brush that comes with the Braun Silk-Epil 9 Epilator package. After that, I changed the head for the epilator (the great thing about it is that you can use it in the water) and used it in my legs and underarm!

First time you can experience a little bit of discomfort but you do get used to it and it gets better with time! You will see the difference when you touch your skin! Your skin gets as soft as when you wax, the difference being is that you need to wait for your hair to grow in order to wax (which can be so annoying!) but with the epilator you will remove with precision even the shortest hair in the comfort of your home and at a convenient time for you!
