Muscle Warming Bath Soak for Aching Cold Nights
I'm Cold and I ache all over.
As winter sets in most of us are gripped in unusually frigid temps around the country but life marches on and whether we like it or not, we have to get out there and work in it. By the end of the day, we're just plain worn out by the cold among other things...
Did you know that some essential oils are warming? It's true! My favorite warming oil happens to be Black Pepper! Black Pepper is therapeutically stimulating to the circulatory system, it's beneficial for warming muscles and joints during massage and, for relieving joint and muscle pain from arthritis or exertion.
One of my tricks before going outside in the cold is to rub Black Pepper on my fingertips and hands with a tiny bit of Naked Salve. This simple application stimulates blood flow in my hands and allows me to shovel snow, gather wood or PLAY outside longer!
For the kiddos: if they come in from outside with aching fingers and toes, grab your bottle of Black Pepper and give their fingers and toes a quick little massage. It takes that painful ache away! When they're ready to go back outside, they're better prepared with a little Black Pepper inside their mittens :)
Back to the Bath...
