Afternoon Tea with Reiss: Spring/Summer 2014

When Reiss invited me to view their spring/summer collection and join them for afternoon tea at The Landmark Hotel it was too lovely an offer to turn down.

I'll get to the miniature cakes, finger sandwiches and scones served with mountains of jam and clotted cream later, but first let's talk clothes. I loved the Riviera chic and tropical prints which we're given a grown up make over thanks to khaki green and elegant midnight blue and the mix of bold pops of colour mixed with classic tailoring gave an easy confidence and luxe feel.

Instantly the palest lime 'Hedy' dress caught my eye. From the curved seam under the bust to the dainty cap sleeves this dress screamed vintage and is the ultimate dress for spring. I think I may be purchasing this one...

Not my bag, but gosh how I wish it was, were the amazing trousers suits. Channel Bianca Jagger or Anjelica Huston and be the boss in the boardroom and on the studio 54 dance floor.

And don't forget the swimwear! Palm tree print bikinis and a va-va-voom swimsuit that Rhianna would be proud to call her own were awesome. The red swimsuit looked like you'd need three people to put it on and a license to wear it but wow!

Reiss also treated us to Essie manicures in the season's colours. Every blogger there went for this icy blue shade, myself included, and it's easy to see why.

Thanks for having me Reiss and for my gorgeous 'Minty' clutch bag. Midnight blue and emerald green may now be my new obsession!

What's your favourite piece from Reiss S/S14?
