Mmm guys – I think I feel my nail art creativity coming back and I am so excited about it! For months, it seemed like all of my energy was focused on stamping on the site and clients at the spa, but now that I have a little more time, I feel like nail art mojo is returning!! Woohoo! Let’s kick off this (hopefully long-lived) creative streak with a pretty abstract floral featuring the OPI Soft Shades 2016 Collection.
I started with a base of OPI It’s In The Cloud, which is a gorgeous off-white shade. Then, I free-handed some flower shapes with the following polishes: OPI I Am What I Amethyst, OPI One Chic Chick, and OPI Stop I’m Blushing!, and finally I added some little leaves with OPI This Cost Me A Mint. Once all of that had a chance to dry, I used my new China Glaze StripeRite in black (the re-branded version of the It’s So Easy StripeRite I used to love so dearly – I’m still disappointed in the brush…) to create some wispy outlines on the flowers and KBShimmer Eclipse for a little dot in the center of each. I sealed everything in with KBShimmer Clearly On Top.
I really loved wearing this manicure – and I received a ton of comments on it! All-over designs like this always bring up the Are those stickers? question, which I always take as a complement. I have lots of ideas for free-hand manicures coming up, so get excited for a fun spring!
