Hello from London Fashion Week

What is it about London that instantly makes me want to pick up a posh accent? As soon as I get in a cab, I start to say words like ‘sir’, I pronounce London like ‘Landan‘ and sauce like ‘soss‘. You could safely say I’m a much chicer person here.

Anyway, I’ve been in London since Friday, as a Fashion Week guest with hair styling superbrand Toni & Guy. Just like last year, it’s been an incredible experience going backstage at iconic fashion houses to see how the hair meets fashion. This quick snapshot was taken right before the Vivienne Westwood show, for example, which was an incredibly powerful and unique experience. More about that in a Fashion Week post that will go up this week, in which I take you through exactly what a day during FW is really like. Including timetables, switching shoes and forgetting about lunch in between shows.

For now, I’m soaking up my last few hours here – and I’ll make sure they’re just as happy – before I’m back to Amsterdam. Although not a single part of me wants to leave London (and my babe Nicole) just yet, it’s all for a good cause… Because tomorrow at 6.30 I’ll be on set for my first ever fashion magazine cover!
