High-End Makeup Worth The Splurge

Hey everyone!
If you've been with me for a while, you will know I'm a sucker for a good high-end product. I used to buy a lot of drugstore things, but I've found that with the right amount of research, I don't get disappointed all that often with a high-end product as I was once with drugstore products, as I would buy those more on an impulse. I want to highlight the higher end products that I think are worth the money in today's post. Products that have worked amazingly for me, and I would 100% recommend to you all.

Tarte Shape Tape concealer

It took me ages to discover this for myself, but when I went to Spain last year I came across the Shape Tape concealer at Sephora and decided to finally give it a go. It's really as good as they say, the formula is amazing and stays put for such a long time. It covers well and is easy to apply. It works well on spots as well as underneath the eyes. So happy I got this and will definitely try out a few other shades, as this one is just a bit too light for me at the moment to use on spots... but I still use it under my eyes. Lovely formula!

Becca Hydra Mist Powder
This one was so odd when I first used it, because the powder is infused with water and glycerin, this feels wet when you apply it to your face. It's so refreshing and will definitely help you to not get cake-face. I'm never too full of really expensive powders, and usually go drugstore for that category, or a bit more mid-range like BareMinerals or Mac, but the Becca Hydra Mist Powder is one I've happily repurchased.

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic blush - Pillow Talk
These blushes have been around for ages and it's only recently I've discovered these. With the Pillow Talk shade being added to the range somewhere last year (or was it already two years ago?) I thought it was finally time to give it a try. I think this particular blush shade, just like the lipstick, will suit so many different people. It's very mauvy-nude, so it's not too in-your-face, which I do love about a blush every once in a while. The formula is buttery soft and slightly shimmery, but not chunky glittery. Check it out if you fancy a fancy blush.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil
For brows it's always a bit of a tie for me between Benefit and Anastasia. Therefore I've mentioned two different products from two different brands in here, as those are the ones I generally prefer from each brand. For Benefit it's definitely the Goof Proof brow pencil, which I just find so easy to use, the shape is very interesting and I am in love with the spooly on the other side. They have really nailed it with the shade I use, which is number 2. It matches me perfectly!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
Here's that other product from the other brand, and I swear this is something I repurchase every single time. It keeps my brows in place like nothing else and it lasts me a lifetime. There's really not a lot I can tell you about a clear brow gel, it does really speak for itself. This happens to be the only one that keeps my brow hairs in place all frickin' day.

Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
My eyelids are quite oily, and for the longest time U used to struggle putting on eyeshadow, as it would crease after only an hour or so, no matter how good the quality of the shadow. Ever since I discovered this primer, it's really all I use. Nothing, not even the Urban Decay primer potion, works as well as this one does. I'm very interested to try the tinted version, as that would cancel out the visible veins a bit more, but for now I'm definitely sold on the clear one.

Urban Decay Naked Heat
If you're a long-time reader you'll know I really rate the Urban Decay Naked palettes. I think the price is right for the quality (although I do think they've gone up in price in pounds? I remember then being 39£ when I lived in Manchester in 2016, now they're at 43£). For less than 50€ you get 12 amazing shades that all go together to create a look with, it's super easy and usually organised from light to dark as well. If I had to pick out one favourite, it would definitely be Naked Heat. The shades are intense but still in the neutral spectrum, so if you're afraid of colour but want to step out of your comfort zone, this is the one to go for. Urban Decay do some of my favourite formulas in eyeshadow and I just think that for a higher end brand, the price is still reasonable.

Mac Lipsticks

It's hard to pick one favourite, as I even love multiple of their formulas. One of my favourites was actually their collaboration with Fleur De Force a few years ago, a lovely peachy cremesheen. Unfortunately, limited edition. The shade that really got me into Mac lipsticks is the matte lipstick in Velvet Teddy, majorly popular because of Kylie Jenner, also a few years back. I still find their OG formulas work the best on me, the newer ones I'm not that keen on (like the powder kiss formula? big no no). Obviously, Mac is known for their amazing quality lipsticks and if you ever think of a particular shade that you would like, Mac probably has it. Oldschool, but still one of my favourites to this day.

Which high-end product do you absolutely love, and find worth the price tag? Let me know in the comments, I'd love to check out some new ones on the market.

Lots of love,
