Must-have MAC Lipsticks

LtoR: Creme Cup, Velvet Teddy, Plumful, Viva Glam IV, Rebel, Ruby Woo
If you know me you may know I have a little obsession with MAC lipsticks, and I think it's safe to say many of us will have tried at least one of their lipsticks in our lifetime. However for those who haven't I wanted to share with you my top must-have MAC lipsticks. Now I've gonna be honest, within my collection it was very hard to whittle it down to just 6 (I was going to do 5 but then needed to add one more) but I think I've covered a range of shades that will suit many and are some of my favourite MAC lipsticks.
MAC Creme Cup
I think this was about the third MAC lipstick to enter my collection and as you can see it has been well loved - I have a repurchase sitting in my collection for when this runs out. This is probably my favourite MAC pink nude, and even though I'm quite pale I find this doesn't give the dreaded foundation lip nor does it wash me out. Instead it's the perfect nude lip which looks amazing for either an everyday lip or teamed with a killer smokey. This is a cremesheen finish which means it provides a creamy and highly moisturising finish to your lips which is perfect for when your lips need a pick me up in the winter.
MAC Velvet Teddy
I don't think Velvet Teddy needs any introduction as it has become one of the most coveted MAC lipsticks and very often sold out both online and in store. Velvet Teddy is the perfect 90's lip and once applied gives a gorgeous deep-toned beige lipstick that mimics the whole your lips but better effect. Don't be put off by how dark this looks in the bullet as it is another stunning nude and I think would suit many skin tones and I find that once applied it helps give the appearance of fuller lips. This is a matte finish but doesn't dry the lips at all nor does it drag when applying, it's rather the opposite and glides on smoothly.
MAC Plumful
MAC Plumful for me is the perfect option for when you are looking for a bit of colour but don't want to go too bold. This is a gorgeous everyday plum lipstick which is just so wearable, and a great option for those who don't dare to wear shades such as Rebel. This does fall on the bolder side of lustre lipsticks but still remains really natural when worn, making it for me a firm favourite and a lipstick I think many should own in their collection. Plumful is a lustre finish which means that it is slightly on the sheerer side in terms of pigmentation, but still packs enough colour.
MAC Viva Glam IV
Now I couldn't do this post without mentioning a MAC Viva Glam lipstick, and I've opted for Viva Glam IV - which I find to be quite an underestimated shade as I don't hear many people talk about it. For me I find this one of those shades that doesn't look much in the bullet but once applies looks gorgeous, the shade itself is a midtown rose that is neither too warm or cold meaning it will suit many skin tones. Being a lustre finish the shade itself is sheer but it's a very easy colour to wear and my pick from the permanent Viva Glam range.
MAC Rebel
MAC Rebel is again a firm blogger favourite and my go to lipstick for the Autumn/Winter. This is a gorgeous deep plum shade which can be worn in all its glory or dabbed on for a stain giving a statement look that's perfect for daytime. This lipstick is so ridiculously pigmented you could get away with the slightest amount on your lips. For me I find the shade so unique and I honestly don't own nothing else in my collection that is similar to it and for that reason alone I think it's definitely a must have MAC staple within your collection. Rebel is a satin formula which means it's that happy medium between gloss and matte as it provides a subtle sheen on the lips.
MAC Ruby Woo
MAC Ruby Woo is one of my newest additions to my collection since discovering my love for a classic red lip. Ruby Woo is a cool-toned red that looks amazing when applied on the lips, being a retro matte lipstick it can be a little difficult to apply as it definitely pulls when applied directly from the bullet, but when applied this baby does not budge. This particular shade of red I find is neither too cool nor too warm which means it looks stunning when applied and I imagine would suit may, making my list as my favourite MAC red.
