So Bar Away – Vegetarian Food Review
We began with an array of mocktails – a delectable combinations of Orange fury (mango , orange and strawberry) , Star light (pineapple , passion and peach), Thunder stuck (Apple , lychee and mint) , Summer crush (cranberry , elderflower) and Pink enigma (raspberry, lychee, soda).
The interesting part of the mocktails is the use of orange liberally instead of lime which is the common base everywhere. Each one had its unique signature and we loved the Summer Crush especially with the cranberry and elderflower combination.
In the Veg Starters, we had Cheese Tandoori Aloo, Chilli Cheese Mini Tandoori Kulcha, Crispy Tostadas Veg, Charcoal Mushroom, and Paneer Tikka.
The pick of this collection to me was the Chilli cheese mini Tandoori Kulcha, the tiny portions topped with the chilli cheese combination was so easy on the palate and was enjoyable. To my daughter, the pick was the Crispy Tostadas Veg. We also had hara bara kebab, rajma kebab and sweet corn kebab. We felt the absence of the crispy outer crust which made the kebabs a bit pasty. Charcoal mushroom was lovely with the filling adding a zing to the soft subdued mushroom.
In Main Course, we had Vegan Buddha Burrito Bowl and Mexican Quesadilla Veg. Vegan Buddha Burrito Bowl is a must try. Highly recommended item.
In Desserts, we had the Great Indian Dessert Platter – (Moong Dal Halwa, Shahi Tukra, Gulab Jamun, Jalebi). My pick is the Shahi Tukra, a basundhi and rasamalai combination with saffron.
