When It’s Too Hot for Clothes

…but you have to wear them anyways.

Outfit Details - Striped Linen Blouse: Madewell (similar fit); Printed Shorts: H&M; Necklace: Anthropologie (similar); Purse: H&M; Sandals: GAP (out of stock, but loving these)

It has been hovering around 90°F over the last week here in Seattle. And let me just say – IT IS HOT AS HADES. Us mild-weather-folk of the great Northwest start busting out the shorts & sandals at about 65

°F, so this LA-like weather is a bit much. And I’m not even upset about the heat, really, I’m more distraught by the lack of work-appropriate hot-weather clothes in my closet. Since I walk to work, keeping cool is a huge factor (even with an air conditioned office). And with the majority of my shorts being homemade jean cut-offs (so not work approved), it’s been a struggle getting dressed lately (beyond the sweaty-back-bra-challenge, ladies you know what I mean).

So thank the H&Meavens (see what I did there?) for these breezy and bright floral shorts. I shall return to H&M soon, and see if they have them in any other colors/prints. Which isn’t good, because I’m challenging myself to a no-shopping July, but when the weather gets this hot, all bets are off.

Stay cool, you wonderful people. Especially if you’re a fellow Seattleite.

xoxo

Natasha
