“Focus” Film Hits Up Buenos Aires Resort Style

I had the pleasure of hosting an advance screening of Focus written and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy, Stupid, Love.). The film stars Will Smith as seasoned con man Nicky who can convince anyone to do anything including Jess (Margot Robbie), a novice pickpocket, who he teaches the tricks of the trade. Focus was shot partially in Buenos Aires, which serves as a beautiful backdrop. It may be about pulling the perfect con, but it wouldn’t take much convincing to get inspired by the resort style in this film. The fashion is fresh and the location is cool, evidenced by the poolside shot below of the films co-stars Margot Robbie and Rodrigo Santoro at the Faena Hotel in Buenos Aires. The pool actually has a crown in the center!
