What’s been read lately . . .

So here we go. A round-up post of sorts of the ones I have currently read (because I like talking about books):

Henry Huggins, Beverly Cleary: This one was read to the kids. We flew, flew through this book. Generally a book this size will take us 2-3 weeks to read, but we read this one in a week—the four days Andy was at work. Crazy stuff. The kids loved hearing about the adventures of Henry and Ribsy (and I actually liked reading it! Reminds me of all the reasons I love Beverly Cleary). Can’t wait to read more Cleary books to them.

Under the Never Sky, Veronica Rossi: Book one of the Never Sky series. Not too bad. I liked it enough to instantly pick up book two. I like the way Rossi has with words.

Through the Ever Night, Veronica Rossi: Book two of the Never Sky series. I like where the series is going, but I’m not chomping at the bit to read book three.

Hit, Lorie Ann Grover: The concept in this one was great. I felt like there were some things that needed to be a little bit more developed, and at times the male’s voice was a little . . . off. But overall an pretty good story. Felt a little like a mix between If I Stay and Pretty Little Liars—although it is completely 100% different from either of those.

Blemished, Sara Ella: Seriously my favorite book I’ve read this month. Can’t really say to much about it, but it has a Once Upon a Time flair and is just all around awesome. Can’t wait until it’s published and everyone can get a copy of their own!
