Chronic Cockney

February Glossybox 1st Impressions

It’s always a treat when my Glossybox arrives each month. Amongst the bills, medical letters and assorted crap that is delivered to our door, Glossybox is a little ray of beauty light.

The box design this month is adorable. I’m not remotely interested in Valentine’s Day; I don’t hate it, I’m just indifferent, always have been (in this regard I’m low maintenance!). But this box is understated and pretty – a winner in my opinion ?.

So let’s look at the individual products in this box. The slanted tweezers from The Vintage Cosmetic Company are utterly gorgeous – they have a retro floral vibe going. I like to receive the occasional beauty tool and tweezers are a fairly safe bet as the majority of us use them either for the whole eyebrow shaping thing or just to tidy up stray hairs. I hope this pair is as effective as it is pretty ?.

The Wilkinson Sword Intuition Razor may not be the most exciting product to ever appear in a beauty box but personally I’ll be keeping and using it. I’ve used razors from this range before and really liked them. I said “oh good” when I spotted it which may mean I have very boring beauty taste ?. It’s a handy product for a Spoonie (person with Chronic Illness) though; it’s really quick to use & legs are nice and moisturised afterwards.

The MUA Power Pout Glaze Low Voltage Gloss (seriously, that’s more of a paragraph than a product name!) looks like a cute product. At this time of year I’m all about the lipliners and lipsticks but when summer rolls around I can see me reaching for this gloss. The nude shade I got looks easy to wear & should work on most skin tones.

I’m looking forward to playing with the Nicka K 24hr Waterproof Eyeliner. I’ve been thinking recently that I should get a brown eyeliner for my bottom lashes for a softer look than black and now I have one ?. I like the beauty blender style sponge from this brand so I’m interested to see how their eyeliner performs.

The Naobay Protective Hair Mask Volume Conditioner seems like a useful product. Personally hair products aren’t my favourite beauty box items (I prefer skincare) but this one is a generous size and it should suit most types of hair. I’ll happily try this product out.

Although the combined RRP on this box isn’t as quite as high as it has been on past boxes, it still represents good value for money. I really like the range of product types in this box and can see myself using them all.

What did you think of February’s Glossybox? What’s your favourite beauty subscription box?

Wishing you good luck & happy days,

Kindra x
