Chronic Cockney

milk_shake Whipped Cream Leave In Form

I can’t believe I’ve been writing this blog for over 6 months and I haven’t told you about my favourite hair product. It’s time I remedied that!

milk_shake’s Whipped Cream Leave-In Foam has been a favourite of mine for a few years now. Originally the brand was only available to purchase in salons but these days it’s available at Beauty Bay in UK. At £11.95 it’s not the cheapest product out there but in my opinion it’s well worth the price tag.

The product looks like it’s going to be a mousse but it turns out to be gorgeous creamy foam. Actually foam doesn’t feel like the right word either…whipped creamy gorgeous stuff! It smells DIVINE; seriously, it’s the best smelling hair product I’ve ever used. It really smells like sweet whipped cream – mmmm?.

It makes my hair feel soft and definitely makes it shinier. My hair is fine and naturally curly on good days, on bad days madly frizzy. When combed straight, my hair currently reaches my waist. It desperately needs a cut but my Chronic Daily Migraine is so debilitating currently that getting to a hairdressing appointment and letting someone touch my hair & head isn’t really an option right now!

I use the product in a couple of ways. Although my hair is naturally wavy/curly, in has to be treated like a perm insomuch as I can only get my tangle teaser through it when it’s soaking wet, straight after being washed & conditioned. Once it’s detangled, I run a dollop of this product through it, followed by a little serum then give it a quick scrunch & leave it to dry naturally. This product helps to calm the frizz and create softer curls. I also use it when I’m styling my hair, whether it’s a quick high ponytail or calming the frizz sufficiently to wear my hair down.

Sometime my pain levels mean it can be a horrifying number of days between hair washes and each passing day adds more tangles; sometimes sections can actually feel matted! ? I’ve found that the more regularly I use this product, the less tangled my mass of hair is when I’m finally able to wash, condition & brush it again.

Whipped Cream Leave-In Foam is labelled as being suitable for all hair types and I can believe that; I think it’s just a matter of adjusting the amount of product to suit your hair type. I think it’s high time I tried some of milk_shake’s other products :)

Have you tried any milk_shake hair products? Do you have a favourite leave-in product?

Wishing you good luck & happy days,

Kindra x
