£20 Beauty Haul

My obsession with makeup doesn’t come cheap. The fact that I’m incapacitated sooooooo much of the time by my chronic pain condition doesn’t help; it’s a costly business being this ill for this long!

So, much as I love high end products, they are a rare treat these days. Most of my current makeup purchases are from the ‘drugstore’ end of things. Fortunately for me, there are lots of high quality affordable brands out there, as more U.S. & European drugstore brands are beginning to emerge in the UK.

Since I’m rarely well enough to shop, on those occasions when I do treat myself to, say, a MAC lipstick, it’s usually bought online. This of course means p&p as well. So, the £15.50 lipstick ends up costing just shy of £20….from this fact a challenge was born in my brain: what kind of makeup haul could I get for £20? You’d be forgiven for thinking you couldn’t get more than 2 products for that money but actually, I was able to get some lovely bits. Victory!

Let’s dive in and list the products I bought & how much they cost:

  • Bell Hypoallergenic Primer
  • Bell Hypoallergenic Illuminating Powder
  • Bell Hypoallergenic Liquid Eyeliner
  • Bell Hypoallergenic Mascara
  • Price – £10 for all 4 items! (1/2 price in sale 👍🏼)
  • Essence I 💚Trends: The Darks nail polish in shade 15 Red I Am Price – £1.80
  • Essence Sheer & Shine Lipstick in shade 03 BFF Price £2.30
  • Essence Silky Touch Blush in shade 10 Adorable Price – £2.49
  • Milani Moisture Matte Lipstick in shade Matte Flirty Price £5

Every product in this haul was purchased at BeautyCrowd. P&P is free when you spend £20 or more so it’s the perfect place to conduct a £20 beauty haul challenge.

If you’re on the ball numbers wise, you may have noticed that the total spend on this haul went over the £20 by £1.27. Turns out it’s harder that I thought to hit £20 spot on! I kept reaching either £19ish or £21 and change, so I settled for the latter 😊.

At first glance I’m impressed with these products, the Milani lipstick & Bell Primer especially. Keep an eye out for upcoming reviews of the individual products (this blog can also be found on Bloglovin if you prefer to follow there so you never miss a post 😊).

Where would you shop if you were hunting out quality products with an affordable price tag? Do you have a favourite drugstore brand?

Wishing you good luck & happy days,

Kindra x
