The Next Big Thing… Green Kitchens

via

Shades of blue, specifically navy, have been dominant in interior design and decor for the past few years, but blues are about to be forced to share some of that spotlight with green. Today’s post is specifically about using green in the kitchen, but we are seeing greens incorporated in every aspect of decor.

Blues are beautiful and always will be, they’re definitely not going anywhere. As it always happens, when an idea, look or color gets so saturated, people tend to gravitate towards something else.

IMO, it doesn’t matter what shade of green you use. Hunter green, moss green, emerald green, sage green, they’re all great. Each shade establishes a very different vibe, so know what you want to achieve before pulling the trigger, but man, these kitchens are GOOD.

I can’t get over this kitchen. One more.

Moss Green:

Moss green is going to give you the feels….. It’s going to feel lovely, and you will melt when you see a photo much less see one of these in person. At least that’s what moss green kitchens do to me. The more of this color, the better.

Emerald Green:

I personally like to see a deep, rich color of green like olive or even a hunter green like above. A brighter greens works too. Definitely plays a very playful OR vibrant role. (The first image is very playful, while the second is the opposite of playful-absolutely no playing allowed in that kitchen), but the shades aren’t terribly different from each other. Interesting.

Sage Green:

Sage green is always going to play it cool. It’s there, but it’s not THERE if you know what I mean. It’s not going to totally steal the show, but it still adds so much. Calm and collected all the way.

I personally prefer a sage, but honestly, I could go a little deeper too. What do you prefer?
