Gone Running...




Gradually getting back into running this week. My fall last Sunday in the woods has not helped me with getting out running! I have been in pain all week from the fall, so it has not been fun. Especially as I landed on a rock, onto my bum! Ouch it hurts to sit... After a week it still hurt to sit down.

As they say "no pain no gain" so I have been forcing myself to go out and keep motivated. Going out running when limping too. Also running with one leg shuffling behind. Still getting out though. A swim on Monday help ease the pain a little. A few relaxing spa's at the gym and saunas have helped too.


After running jogging for over 10 years I can honestly say it never gets easier! I know I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to pushing myself. I am trying now to get beyond tired, above the pain and push myself further. Then one day maybe move from jogger to runner.




Going up to school dressed to run really does help to kick start my day. I have to walk 3/4 to school and then same again back home in the morning. Then repeat in the afternoon. So if I go dressed ready to run I can run at least 2 miles home (detour) and be back home without thinking of it being a run or wasting time as I would take around 15 minutes to walk it. Maybe I could even do 2 before school home time pick up as well. Then 2 miles with my son after school, 6 easy miles!?!

  • 3 miles run

  • 3 miles run
Saturday
  • 4.5 miles run
Sunday
  • 3 mile am with hubby
  • 2 miles pm with son

23.5 miles ran this week with a mile swim and a spinning class thrown in :)
