I didn’t really realize or accept it at the time, but this shoot was our welcoming ritual for fall. In denial about needing a jacket, I shot in a fur-collared wool coat from Cindy’s house. Maybe I should do that all the time, to set a vibe, and to offer one extra layer of protection from all the spiders that are out this year. Every couple of years, they double in numbers. Consuelo delicately reorganized webs in the bamboo while Fiona posed under the hops in a velvet capelet.
