Jolen and A Hair Free Summer

I’m a hairy beast, y’all. And don’t think this is a complaint. I’m not one of those women that needs to have a hair-less body. I completely stop shaving my legs during the cooler months and have no problem with the inch long hurr on my arms. It is what it is, ya know? However, you won’t see me sporting hairy under arms, a visible ‘stache and beard and a bikini line that looks like a forest is bustin’ through. No shame in my girls who do sport those things but hey…it’s not for me. And this is why I wax, tweeze, thread, pluck and shave.

Buuuut, when I got the opportunity to test drive Jolen’s Creme Bleaches and Facial Hair Remover Kit, I could not have been more excited. Changing the color of the hair means I don’t have to head to my threading lady as often as I do now. Win! Jolen does a great job at helping users know that in order to get the best results, they should test the products on their skin first. I decided not to use the Creme Bleach just because I wasn’t sure of its efficacy for darker skinned people with dark hair.

I got right to work with testing that! I tested a bit on my arm and within minutes the hair was removed. I went ahead and tried it on my ‘stache.

See how much I love y’all? I purposely grew my hair out this long for the purposes of this demonstration. Dedication, I tell ya. There are 3 steps to this kit.

Step 1 – Apply Skin Guarding Balm

The helps protect the skin from irritation and also assists on moisturizing the skin after hair removal.

Step 2 – Apply Hair Removal Cream

This cream is intended to remove unwanted hair on upper lip, chin and cheeks.

Step 3 – Use Cleanse & Soothe Wipes

I used this to wipe away the cream and hair. It has aloe and chamomile to help soothe and moisturize skin.

Color me impressed. This could not have been any easier and I love that the cream didn’t smell incredibly chemical-like and deadly. You know, like some hair removal brands do… I will continue to use this in a pinch when I can’t get to my threading lady. This kit only retails for $11.99 and can be found at drugstores everywhere. Not a bad splurge, right?
