What do you do?
I’m an actor and a writer! I love how stories can change people and provide vehicles for empathy. So, I moved to LA and started writing and producing my own work, as I believe that the industry, and world, will benefit from having more women as storytellers.

What’s your favorite social media outlet and why?
Although it’s not as popular as it once was, I still prefer Facebook because I can do everything all on one site: post photos, statuses, and connect with old friends.

You are an incredible inspiration, but tell us…who inspires you?
The late Dr. Maya Angelou inspired me the most with her ability to come from humble beginnings and rise to inspire multitudes. The few times I met her, she offered me such inspirational advice, and I felt like I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I once was terrified of my dreams to pursue art, but Dr. Angelou and her tremendous life story shows me that anything is possible and to follow my faith to my dreams!

Do you have any advice for a girl or woman out there who is struggling to find her purpose or make her voice be heard?
Find a network of trustworthy people to support you when times get hard. I still grapple with my passions from time to time, but its the people in my life that I rely on to inspire me to keep pushing towards my goals.

What makes this life thing beautiful?
What makes this life beautiful is that with every person we meet, we get a new opportunity to learn about life, show selfless love, and find commonality.
