Ne stiamo avendo conferma stagione dopo stagione: la stampa animalier è trendy. Introdotta nella moda da Christian Dior e indossata dalle donne più chic ed eleganti degli anni Cinquanta, nei decenni successivi è stata abusata in outfit trash, divenendo sinonimo di volgarità ed eccesso. Fortunatamente questo luogo comune è superato: oggi possiamo sfoggiare con orgoglio abiti e accessori che mimano le trame accativanti di cui Madre Natura ha vestito gli animali esotici più pericolosi e fieri. La stampa animalier ricorre nel mio outfit del giorno, composto da un completo bomber – gonna a tubino, e da una mini-bag con finish pitonato tono su tono. Anche il collo e gli stivaletti in eco-pelliccia sono presi in prestito al mondo animale. Vi piace gattine?

It’s a matter of fact endorsed by worldwide runways: animal print is the new black. Brought in fashion by Christian Dior and donned by the most chic and elegant women of the Fifties, in the following decades it has been abused in trashy outfits, becoming synonymous with vulgarity and excess. Luckily this cliché has been outdated: today we can proudly show off clothes and accessories that mimic the captivating textures of which Mother Nature has dressed the most dangerous and fierce exotic animals. Animal print recurs in my outfit of the day, consisting of a bomber jacket – pencil skirt suit, and a mini-bag with tone sur tone python finish. The neck-scarf and ankle boots in faux fur are borrowed from the animal world too. How do you like it kittens?
