Bitesized Beauty | L’Occitane CC Skin Tone Perfecting Cream

Who: L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime CC Skin Tone Perfecting Cream

What: First of all, if you’re still confused about the purpose of CC creams they’re meant to correct any redness or discolouration in the skin. And L’Occitane have just launched a new CC cream, Pivoine Sublime, which is very good. The lightweight formula includes peony extract, “illuminating pearly particles” and an SPF 20. It comes in light and medium, and sits well underneath makeup.

Why: I’ve tried a lot of CC creams in the past, but only a small number have actually impressed me. And this is easily one of the best. I apply a pea-sized amount around my nose and mouth, where I have a bit of pigmentation, and it instantly cancels out the redness. I then use my foundation as usual – although you could wear the CC cream alone. At £25 for 30ml is slightly more expensive than I thought it would be (I was sent a press sample), but it does do exactly what it promises so I wouldn’t hesitate to re-purchase a tube once I run out.

Where: £25 at L’Occitane
