My Style | The Embellished Summer Knit

A few months ago there was a gorgeous embellished sweater by Gucci on Net-A-Porter, and every time I scrolled past it my heart skipped a beat. It was true love! However, at $1,500 (yes, really) we were never going to end up together, so you can imagine my delight when I found a seriously good dupe at Oasis for under £40.

It may not be 100% cashmere like the Gucci style, but it’s still lovely and soft, and it’s well-suited to the early arrival of Autumn. I actually cannot believe I’ve been wearing jeans and a jumper in August – British summer is a big fat fail – but if you’re going to cover up you might as well do it in style. Right?

If the sunshine and blue skies ever return I’ll start wearing this lightweight sweater with denim skirts and A-line midis. I also quite like the idea of teaming it with a pair of short-shorts and boyish brogues for a preppy “Taylor Swift in New York” vibe. Basically, it will add a splash of pizzazz to any ensemble, making it a very worthy summer investment.
