My Style | Stripes in the City

Can someone please explain to me how infographics suddenly became a thing. I’m inundated with emails about them EVERY SINGLE DAY and none are in the least bit useful or interesting. In fact, the only subject I would like to see an infographic cover is Breton stripe T-shirts – or, more specifically, the speed at which they sell out on ASOS. Because whenever I spot a great ASOS striped top in the “new in” section it’s already sold out. How does this happen?! Is there some Breton stripe monster out there gobbling up all the good designs?

The fact that I managed to get my hands on this T-shirt is a miracle in itself. And it should come as no surprise to hear that it’s now completely out of stock. I’ve been wearing it on days when I’m strapped for time or lacking style motivation, because it’s physically impossible to go wrong with a Breton tee paired with jeans or a denim skirt. Don’t you agree?

I’m Wearing: ASOS striped top (sold out) | ASOS denim skirt | Lee Renée pineapple necklace c/o | Dune espadrille wedges (past season but near identical pair here) | Forever21 bag c/o | Ray Ban aviator sunglasses

Pineapple ornaments appeal to me almost as much as stripes do, so I was over the moon when British jewellery designer Lee Renée sent me the golden pineapple necklace I featured in last week’s festival-themed wish list. I’ve been wearing it non-stop and it collects an endless supply of compliments every single day.

Lee also makes pineapple earrings, bracelets and rings, so make sure you check out her full collection for more fruity goodness!

Do you rate this simple summer outfit? How have you been styling stripes this season?
