My Style | White Jeans and Red Lips

Longtime readers of the blog will know that I’ve never been a huge fan of white jeans. Sure, I’ve owned one or two pairs in the past, but they’ve never been a staple of my summer wardrobe. However, ‘Jean Queen’ Donna Ida recently gave me a pair of her IDA high-waisted skinnies and I absolutely love them! If I didn’t keep getting them so dirty I would honestly be wearing them every single day. (You don’t realise what a total grubster you are until you put on a pair of white jeans – coffee, fake tan, makeup… somehow it all ends up on my legs).

The milk wash is more flattering than bright-white denim and looks fantastic paired with glossy black accessories. I wore this outfit over the weekend, when attending The Vogue Festival, and liked the easy simplicity of sticking to two colours. What I didn’t enjoy, however, was having to dig out a winter roll neck because the temperature had dropped so dramatically. London, you are a big fat fail…

Once high summer arrives I’ll ditch the leather jacket and start experimenting with head-to-toe white outfits. I like the idea of pairing these jeans with a bohemian peasant blouse (like this crepe de chine Maje number), a white clutch and metallic heels. How do you plan to style your white jeans this summer?
