I’m not sure whether I’ve shared this story on the blog before, but up until the age of about 13 (when I bought my first copy of ELLE magazine) I wanted to be a zoo keeper. This was mostly because I once saw one of the keepers at London Zoo giving a baby pygmy hippopo a pedicure on TV, which at the time looked like the most awesome job ever!
To this day I still love animals, but no longer dream of tending to hippopotamus feet. Instead I’d rather show my affection for animal kingdom by wearing a statement print.
This season there are loads of cute and quirky designs to choose from. I love the Alice Olivia zebra dress, Ted Baker’s toucan camisole (a great holiday piece) and Kate Spade New York’s elephant cross-body bag. But nothing can compete with Shourouk’s bold flamingo necklace – that’s a piece I’d treasure forever!
