Birthday WIP

On my birthday last year, exactly a year ago today, I treated myself to this yummy yarn. Rowan pure wool DK, to make some cushion covers for our couch and refurbished chair.

I crocheted up the front of these covers, sewed together their back. And really, the only task left was to hand sew the crochet covers to the sewn ones. But it sat their for almost a year, patiently waiting for the book Puur Haken to be finished and promoted. Until last weekend, when I decided to get them out of the dust and finish them. There may be enough yarn left to make a third one, let’s see what I can come up with this week.

So here I am, on my birthday hand sewing some cushions! Enjoying beautiful flowers and lots of messages and phone calls, a piece of cake with my neighbour… just a lovely day.
