Inspiration Post 1

Sometimes it just hits me, out of nowhere. Inspiration I am talking about.

The new Catania cotton colours have been lying on my table for two weeks, just to admire them. The anemone flowers next to it are almost done and as I am looking at them and their pretty colours, all of a sudden I am thinking yarn. And there you go, select your colours and you’re good to go for a new crochet or knitting project! In this specific case you’re looking at natural 105, lime 392, charcoal 393, lilac 399.

Now what to make? Just a few suggestions. You could use the look of the flower to design a new crochet flower or square. Or use the colours for a design you love for a stripe blanket or cushion cover for example in v-stitch, or may be some granny squares? The design doesn’t have to be complicated in this case, just let the colours do their job.

Most flowers are available only temporarily in their own season. So this item you’re going to make with these colours, inspired by this flower, will always remind you of the specific season when they’re in bloom. I love those seasonal reminders, for example in your interior by changing the cushion covers on the couch.

Here’s to an inspirational weekend! xo
