Week 1 – 2015

Happy new year to you! May 2015 bring you and your family joy, love, health and of course a bit of craftiness.

How were the holidays for you? We were lucky to spend lots of time with our families, both in the Netherlands and in the snow in Sweden where we stayed close to the fire place as it was -25 C outside!

Some skiing, lots of board games, snow walks with our chocolate Lab Floyd, lots of sleeping, and enjoying good laughs and food with family members. We recharged our batteries to the max.

I hardly did any crocheting, and managed to knit one bright pink beanie in one afternoon. More of that coming soon. I literally took zero pictures with my DSLR camera, so it’s just a handful of iPhone pictures I can share. Another sign of total disconnect and being away from my computer for a couple weeks. Pure bliss!

2014 was an amazing year in lots of ways. It was the first full year of living in The Netherlands again, the year in which Puur Haken came together and launched in August, and launched so well we are already on the third print. The new creJJtion logo, website and blog came together. In the Fall I re-presented my own fingerless glove pattern and to say the least, you all jumped on it and gave it a go or three. It even made it to a fingerless glove – fanatics group CAL on Ravelry! Thank you so much for all your support and pattern and book love.

2015 will hopefully be more calm, no move or job change is planned in our private life. It should be a year with lots of new individual patterns that I didn’t release last year because I was simply too busy with Puur Haken. Finishing lots of almost-finished projects is high on the list too. I plan to keep on blogging my weekly blog like I do today, and would like to get back to my weekly inspirational posts too. I started them a couple years ago when in Canada, and I remember you liked them a lot. They are fun to make but a lot of work though, so in between moving twice and book writing and promoting, they fell overboard. Furthermore there’ll be lots of project sharing and just crochet and knitting goodness for you to enjoy and get inspired, I hope!

Here’s to a calm, beautiful and healthy 2015. I am ready! xo
