Cocktails, We Heart STL, & a Giveaway!

Though I haven't been in STL long, I am already in love! Not only are there so many great things to do and great places to visit in the city, but there's a budding blog community here as well! I joined the Midwest Influencer Network (MWIN) just about as soon as I arrived in the city, and finally had a chance to attend my first real event last week! Along with a bunch of other bloggers, Erika and I attended a cocktail styling event hosted by Alive mag, MWIN, and Cruzan Rum (more on them later).

Now, I'm not much for styling anything, myself, though I love looking at Instas of pretty drinks, so this was a great opportunity to branch out. Cruzan had several different rums available (blueberry lemonade, spiced, and coconut) and I decided to throw back to my college days and use the coconut rum to mix up something I'm calling the "The Curly Coconut Lemonade!"

Recipe:
1 part Cruzan Coconut Rum
a dash of Dole pineapple juice
2 parts lemonade
1 splash of club soda

Though I'm no bartender, it was pretty tasty! I'd say it needed a bit more lemonade (or even lemon juice) to punch it up, but it was a tasty treat for a warm evening!

Cruzan Rum gave us a sneak peak of their products at this event because they've partnered up with Alive Magazine and a bunch of other sponsors to host We Heart STL this coming Friday (5/29)!
