I love flexing my creative muscle when it comes to putting together outfits, but there's something about filling a blank space on a wall that intimidates me. It's embarrassed to admit, but we have an enormous wall in the back of our living room that still remains undecorated -- untouched in all the four years now that we've lived in this house. FOUR. YEARS.
We've been having visitors come to our house pretty regularly these days and have been spending more time at home now with two little ones to take care of. I figured it was finally time to start getting serious about decorating our space. I spent a bit of time this past weekend planning out a gallery wall for our large living room space and wanted to share what I came up with as I ended up loving it. I found all of the artwork on Minted and was impressed with their extensive collection of different items including photographs, drawings, graphics, and even custom prints. I've used Minted before for their customizable cards, invitations, and birth announcements, but their artwork collection is just as beautiful! For my gallery wall, I picked out a combination of different pieces that reminded me of different experiences we had shared -- a London skyline for our first trip ever taken together (just before we were actually a couple), a rhino for our honeymoon safari in Africa, and a ferris wheel for our annual trip out to the Texas State Fair.
The site is easy to navigate and the filters make finding just the right artwork a breeze. Looking for something black and white that's also whimsical and funny? Done. Or what about a chalkboard print to jazz up the kitchen? They have that too.
I was also really drawn to the personalizable options as I love having custom prints for my kids. We have a custom birth print for Dylan hanging in his room and are planning to have one for Kennedy too. Here are just a few of the ones that caught my eye (shop all custom birth prints):
