Dieter Rams meets CYBEX street art

Design should not dominate things, should not dominate people. It should help people. That’s its role.

The project was simple: to create a space where the CYBEX design and R&D team can feel inspired and excited when designing the best car seats and travel products on the market. So, our Head of Industrial Design, Ralf Holleis, teamed up with two talented illustrators Christopher Kieling (www.christopherkieling.com) and Eugen Schulz (www.atzeton.de) and took over the entire lower floor of our Design and R&D department to create something spectacular.
Using Dieter Rams Ten Principles of Good Design as the foundation, the 3 started building and creating some amazing artwork, taking into consideration that – in addition to Design – Safety and Functionality are also crucial aspects of the development process at CYBEX. Over the course of 4 days, they transformed our bare walls into something truly inspiring and wonderful.
Dieter Rams’ ten principles of good design are the commandments by which all industrial designers work under. And now these principles are bringing inspiration to the designers and R&D engineers at the CYBEX headquarters in Bayreuth.
