Parragon Book buddy : The Diggers

Over recent months we have really been enjoying our role as a Parragon book buddy, this months book is especially exciting because it is about Diggers. Our boys love diggers, always spotting them when we are out and about and wondering what they might want to dig up with one. This book most defiantly grabbed their attention the fastest. The book is called 'The Diggers' and is written by Margaret Wise Brown and Illustrated by Antoine Corbineau.

As always the book from Parragon is made of very high quality material and looks fantastic. I love the Illustrations in this book it allows children's imaginations run away with them. The book in the beginning touches on some animals which like to dig holes but then moves on the a city man digging a hole but slowly. Then introducing the digger her is able to dig much quicker and digs a hold for a train under the city and out towards a mountain. Then the digger also come in handy for tunneling under the mountain.

The official Description of the book.

'Dig, dig, dig! Join the animals and the machines as they dig an incredible journey of discovery underground in this imaginative story from best-selling childrens author Margaret Wise Brown. This amazing adventure is brought to life by french illustrator Antoine Corbineau, using patchwork of texture and colour in his vibrant illustrations to bring the fun and energetic world of the diggers to life.'
We really loved the story with the nice little creative touches it has really been a great read for the kids. They especially love the cavemen's homes and buried gnomes page i think then imagine digging the gnomes up themseleves.
