Summer shoes from TOMS

Over the past year or so I've dropped my signature dress and shoes style and gone down a more casual route, preferring trainers and jeans whilst still trying to keep things girly with lots of colour and pattern. I'd been looking for some new casual footwear for Summer (as my trusty Nikes get far too warm, oww!) when an email from TOMS appeared in my inbox asking me if I'd like to try out a pair of shoes from their collection.

I'd heard of TOMS before, mostly praise of their One for One campaign which donates a pair of shoes to a child in need each time one are purchased, but hadn't tried out their shoes for myself. I thought they would be quite plain and mature in style, but was met by a website full of colour, pattern and even glittery TOMS!

After a few days of narrowing down my choices, I picked out this pair of zig zag pattenerd TOMS from the new Jonathan Adler collection after that deciding they were the perfect mixture of being neutral enough in colour to match plenty of outfits (ever the safe shopper, Charlene!) whilst still being eye-catching and fun.

They arrived just a few days later and I was really impressed with the quality. They're light weight, but really well made - the type of shoe that you can just tell won't fall apart after a few wears. And the comfort factor? The first day I wore them I had braved the streets of Glasgow for an all day shopping session, after which my feet were thanking me for being able to breathe and weren't the slightest bit sore either.

And I think that was the deciding factor for me - TOMS will be my shoe of choice this Summer!
