Loose Teeth

Why does everyone want to rush loose teeth?

During my childhood years when I had wiggly teeth, all I can remember was my older brother, Justin, trying to rush the process of getting them out. He would taunt and tease that if I didn’t pull my loose tooth out quickly enough, that he would tie an end of a string to one end of my tooth and the other to a door knob and slam the door; inevitably yanking my loose tooth out of my mouth.

This thought had me utterly terrified. I was so scared that I often found myself escaping on our 4-wheeler during sunset, just before dinner, to avoid the danger that awaited in my brothers mischievous control. I would drive far out into the cotton fields, where no one could find me, wiggling my loose childhood tooth trying to work it out before Justin had the door knob tied to the other side.

In the end, my brother never ended up actually pulling this trick on me and when my tooth finally did fall out it was celebrated as a sweet victory in my house hold.
